          In 2012 was proved a D.Sc. in chemistry paper:
1. Dr. Arîcu Aculina. Structural- and stereoselective synthesis of drimanic and norlabdanic compounds. Scientific Advisor: Academician Pavel Vlad. 02.00.10 - bioorganic chemistry, chemistry of natural and physiologically active compounds.

        and two PhD theses:

1. Rija Andrei. Coordination compounds of cobalt (III), nickel (II) and copper (II) with inorganic anions. Synthesis, structure, properties. Scientific coordinator:  D.Sc. chemistry Ion Bulhac. Specialty 02.00.01 - Inorganic Chemistry.

2. Edu Carolina. Development of methods of synthesis of tetra-and pentanorlabdanic  compounds useful in practice. Scientific coordinator: Academician Pavel Vlad. 02.00.10 - bioorganic chemistry, chemistry of natural and physiologically active compounds.

       In 2011 were proved two PhD theses in Chemistry:

1. Beţ (Loghina) Ludmila. Stereoselective synthesis and properties of new derivatives of (+)-3carene. Scientific coordinator: D.Sc.in chemistry Macaev Fliur. Specialty 02.00.03 - Organic chemistry.

2. Viorica Şargarovschi. Synthesis and properties of 1H-imidazole new derivatives. Scientific coordinator: D.Sc.in chemistry Macaev Fliur. Specialty 02.00.03 - Organic chemistry.

        In 2010 it was proved a PhD paper in chemistry:

     Melnic Silvia. Synthesis and study of homo-and heteronuclear clusters of transition metals with heterocyclic carboxylic acids. Scientific coordinator: Constantin Turta. Specialty 02.00.01 - Inorganic Chemistry.

         In 2009 a PhD thesis was proved in chemistry in the framework of the Specialized Scientific Council of the Institute of Chemistry of ASM by:

      Diana Dragancea. Complex compounds of copper (II) with carbohydrazone of salicylaldehyde and its derivatives. Scientific coordinator: Nicolae Gărbălău, scientific advisor: D.Sc. in chemistry, Prof. Mihail Revenco. Specialty 02.00.01 - Inorganic Chemistry.
      
        In 2008, 15 PhD students worked on their doctoral theses and were proved three PhD theses in the framework of two Specialized Scientific Councils of the Institute of Chemistry and USM:

1. Şepeli Diana. Analysis and standardization of new medicinal preparations by applying spectral and chromatographic methods. Scientific coordinator: D.Sc. in chemistry, Prof. Mihail Revenco. 02.00.02-analytical chemistry specialty.

2. Nina Ţîmbaliuc. Study of sorption of harmful substances and development of technological schemes for wastewater treatment. Scientific coordinator: D.Sc. in chemistry, Prof. res. Tudor Lupaşcu. Specialty 11.00.11 - Environmental Protection and rational use of natural resources;

3. Gudima Alexander. Synthesis and investigation of the optically active compounds from a-pinene. Scientific coordinator D.Sc. in chemistry Macaev Fliur. 02.00.03-specialty organic chemicals.
